These protein filled energy bites are so healthy and portable. They are Gluten and Dairy Free and can easily be made top 8 allergy free by swapping the Peanut Butter for Sunflower Butter. You can also mix and match the sweet ingredients; for example, use dye free sprinkles for a birthday party remix or dried cranberry and white chocolate chip for a holiday edition. Grab a couple and run out the door before yoga for nutritious and delicious energy!
1 cup GF Rolled Oats
½ cup Peanut butter or Sunflower butter for allergy free
½ cup Ground Flax Seeds
½ cup dairy free chocolate chips
2 scoops protein powder (I use Omega Nutrition's Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder)
Mix well and create 1’’ tightly packed balls .
This recipe makes about 20 protein bites. Refrigerate for an hour and enjoy! These keep well for up to one week in the refrigerator.
