Meet Nurse Lauren

Lauren Briggs, RN, BSN, HWNC-BC, HN-BC, Founder and CEO of Practical Medicine, LLC. I’ve been a practicing nursing for 15 years in New York and Connecticut. I’ve worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including traditional and emergency medicine, which helped lead me to holistic medicine. I’ve also held positions in management and executive positions, including Director of Nursing. I’ve worked in Functional Medicine and Integrative Medicine for the past 7 years. I studied with the Integrative Nurse Coaching Academy through the International Nurse Coaching Association (INCA). I’m a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Nurse Coach (HWNC-BC) and Board-Certified Holistic Nurse (HN-BC) with the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Cooperation (AHNCC). I am a Certified Functional Medicine Nurse Specialist with International Nurse Coaching Association (INCA) and Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). I am also a Certified Clinical Homeopath through the Center for Education and Development of Clincial Homeopathy (CEDH).

I am an expert in the field of vitamins and herbal supplementation and am passionate about nutrition and living an organic lifestyle. I am also a coordinator for the Stamford CSA program for a local organic farm. You can regularly find me in the kitchen cooking and baking with healthy gluten and dairy free ingredients. I am a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT) and avid Yogi. I believe in many methods of healing starting with clean living and gut health. I am passionate about holistic healthcare and I coach my clients with this perspective in mind. I want to empower my clients to return to whole health naturally with lifestyle changes that are the foundation for long lasting results.
